I Am Bread For Mac

Take the intrepid, crumby adventurer on a journey from his natural confines of the kitchen, through the home of an unsuspecting owner and into the outside world. This bread will be boldly going where no other bread has gone before . . .

Additional game modes and other types of bread will cater for all tastes! Set speed records racing across the levels as a bagel; realise your destiny as crispbread in cheese hunt mode; relieve your stress as the baguette and smash everything in sight in rampage mode. Oh, and did we mention bread goes into space too?

I Am Bread For Mac

We'd just pass over I Am Bread as another Grass Simulator if it were not made by Bossa Studios, the team behind the excellent Surgeon Simulator. The world's first (?) bread sim has the same high production values and panache, and actually looks pretty fun - kind of like Octodad, only you are bread and also go skateboarding. Behold:

For one thing, your bread will now be toasted when exposed to a greater variety of heat sources - the oven, lights and rocket - and to go along with this, toasting feedback has been improved. For another, you can now smash glasses and bottles.

You are bread. Your mission, become toast! Take on all hazards to deliciousness as you head on an epic adventure in one of the the toughest games ever baked. All of the game modes (including Bagel Race) are now unlocked so there's sure to be something to suit everyone's taste!

From the developers of Surgeon Simulator comes a breakthrough game for lovers of bread: I Am Bread. Players begin the game as a freshly sliced piece of bread and then go on to explore the kitchen world and beyond, attempting to find a way to toast themselves. As is likely to be expected, bread has a limited range of motion and can happily flip-flop around, exerting immense strength and flexibility beyond its small, fragile stature.

The acrobatic moves are endless, especially since you can, as this spectacular slice of bread, reach such heights as the ceiling fan and also toast yourself in several different ways, the least of which is actually using the toaster.

For gamers looking for an absolutely scintillating game, for those who enjoyed hours of frustration from playing Surgeon Simulator, or for people who are curious about what being a piece of bread is like, I Am Bread might be for you. The game is available through Steam for Windows and Mac starting December 3.

On the surface, I AM BREAD is an adventure game about a humble slice of bread whose dream is to be toasted. But this dream takes place across a couple different modes. In the story mode, this dream has a bit of a darker undertone, because it tells a tale about a man who thinks he's losing his mind when his bread keeps toasting itself. In alternate game modes, players will participate in platforming missions, racing modes, and even space shooters.

If you can stay calm long enough to get through story mode, unlockable timed physics-based challenges such as Cheese Hunt and Bagel Race provide moderately more entertaining fare. There's even a recently added space shooter mode called "Starch Wars" in honor of May 4. This mode, as the rest of I Am Bread, is amusing for around five minutes -- or as long as it takes you to chuckle at the sight of Tie Fighters made from bagels and crackers. Visually, the game isn't bad, but the art team's decision to go with realism makes for some fairly blah interiors. The music is probably the highlight, being a silly mix of piano, whistling, and ... is that a kazoo playing in the background? What I Am Bread amounts to really is a jokey one-liner stretched thin. Once you've absorbed the cutesy bread puns, it has nothing more to offer than a terrifically discouraging waste of your entertainment time.

I am Bread, the strange video game that imagines players as a slice of bread on a mission to become toast, released a "Star Wars"-themed update on Monday, Star Wars Day, that lets players have an epic, yeasty space battle as they attempt to stop the deadly Dough Baker.

Acing level one may sound easy, but if you've played I am Bread, you know how maddening it can be to get your bread from table to toaster without spoiling it along the way. It took me a few hours to figure out how to maneuver my bread masterfully enough to become toast, and I'm sure many of you struggled as well, right? Right?

UK-based developer Bossa Studios made a name for itself a couple of years back with Surgeon Simulator, which straddles both halves of the simulation spectrum. This year they returned with I am Bread for Windows PC via Steam. I am Bread is without a doubt a very silly game in which players control a slice of bread as it wreaks destruction on a man's home. The world's first bread simulator!

With deliberately challenging controls and a goofy premise, I am Bread could be either terrible or terribly awesome. Read our latest Steam Spotlight review with gameplay video to find out which side this bread is buttered on!

Static case files are a simple and utilitarian way to tell I am Bread's story. The choice works well though, as the darkly humorous writing ties the various bread-related scenarios together in a fun and silly way. On the downside, the actual case files and text take up way too little of the screen. They should be larger and easier to read.

You can control each of the four corners of your bread slice independently by using the four top buttons on the controller (the bumpers and triggers on an Xbox controller). Hold the button for one corner down and you can pivot the bread on it with the left analog stick. This proves useful for adjusting the angle of the slice.

Your bread primarily moves around on the ground by flipping over. Hold the buttons for two corners on the same side down and you can then use the left analog stick to flip the bread over on that axis. For instance, you might hold both bumpers or triggers and then make a flipping motion on the stick, causing the bread to flip and move forward.

You win by toasting the bread, but how do you lose? By letting it get too dirty. The Edibility meter represents the bread's life. Every time your slice comes into contact with dirty surfaces or ants, the edibility meter starts to drop. Should you fall onto a dirty floor or similar, you'll have to move really fast and avoid losing your cool if you want to survive the level.

Unlocking new bread types for Free Roam is great, but the game only has four types of bread in total. Given the vast array of breads in this world, a game called I am Bread should offer a much larger variety of playable breads.

Playing a game as a piece of bread is a very silly idea. And yet somehow Bossa Studios has created a hardcore game around the concept! I am Bread's Story mode gives you lots to do, navigating perilous levels, breaking lots of things, and slowly driving some poor guy crazy. The extra modes add plenty of life as well, although you might not like all of them.

These are amazingly cheesy and delicious. Warm and gooey macaroni and cheese served inside a toasty bowl made of bread. These may take some extra time to make, but if you or someone you know is in need of some super yummy comfort food, these are well worth it!

These are fairly simple to make. I got the recipe from Taste of Home a while ago but I thought the directions were kind of lacking so hopefully I explain it better. The bread is moist and dense on the inside and hard on the outside. This combination allows the bowl to hold their shape and not turn to mush once they are stuffed. While they are fairly simple, they do take some time make so make sure you make these ahead of time. They can be made a day or two before and left uncut until you are ready to stuff them.

You can add a tiny bit more flour as you go if you have to, but the point is to get the gluten in the flour to do what ever gluten does. This gives the bread the right texture and keeps it moist where as adding too much flour will make it dry and crumbly.

Next, cut around the inside edge of the roll being careful not to cut through the bottom. Now, using your fingers scoop out the inside of the bowl. It should come away from the bottom fairly easy but you might need to dig with your fingers a little bit. If you want you can scoop out more bread from the inside rim of the bowl to make the inside wider.

This is my recipe for macaroni and cheese. I'm sure any experienced mac n' cheese makers will say I am making it wrong, but this way never fails and tastes awesome. If you already have your own recipe, feel free to use it just make sure it has enough extra sauce or it might become too dry in the bread bowls.

Now arrange the bread bowls on a cookie sheet. I fit three per cookie sheet. Only fill and cook them one batch at a time. Now scoop the mac n' cheese into each bowl and fill them to just over the rim of the bread bowl. Once they are filled, sprinkle the bread crumb mix over the top of the mac n' cheese.

Now, pop them in the oven. You just want the bread crumbs to brown a little. They will only take 30 seconds to a minute so its best to stay right next to the oven and watch them. As soon as they are nicely brown, immediately take them out of the oven.

The beautiful story of one slice of bread's epic and emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted. As you delve deeper and deeper into the story of 'I am Bread', you'll notice that things aren't quite what they seem....

In I am bread, you assume the role of, well, a slice of bread that comes right off the loaf at the start of each level. You mission in each level is simple, get toasted. You can fail though, if you become inedible, which can be done by getting gross, which you will do more often than not. Obviously getting yourself in the toaster is an easy enough solution to start, but as you go through each level your opportunity to get nice and toasty become much more creative.

In one level, you can smash a TV and use the smoldering pile of rubble to toast up. In the bathroom, you can short out the power strip or cook yourself on a radiator. The last level actually lets your slice of bread get toasted by blowing up a gas station. The initial creativity of Surgeon Simulator is indeed intact. 2ff7e9595c
